Security Operations Mgr., Dollar Tree, Inc.
Kaleb Beasley’s security career started as an intern with Newport News Shipbuilding – a subsidiary of Huntington Ingalls Industries. NNS is the sole supplier of nuclear powered aircraft carriers and one of two manufacturers of nuclear powered submarines. It was there that he learned many foundational skills in the areas of monitoring, response, and threat intelligence. As an active participant on the Defense Security Information Exchange (DSIE Defense ISAC), Beasley saw first-hand the value of information sharing. In 2015 he accepted an offer to move to the retail world to help Dollar Tree build out a security operations program. One of the first initiatives he took on was to join the industry ISAC (R-CISC). Since 2015, Beasley’s team has grown to include 8 offshore MSSP resources and 4 in-house analysts – including one full-time threat intelligence analyst. He’s proud to say that Dollar Tree is now one of the most active members of the RH-ISAC and he enjoys the partnership and trust we are building within the industry. Currently pursuing a master’s in Computer Science and Information Security from James Madison University, Beasley resides in Chesapeake, Virginia, where he was born and raised.
